Human motivation to explore and trade has influenced the world
as we know it today: Globalization The National Geographic photographic exhibition looks at Globalization and the way it connects different parts of the world. Globalization results in the expansion of international cultural, economic, and political activities. As people, ideas, knowledge, and goods move more easily around the globe, the experiences of people around the world become more similar. Look at the photographs that have been taken and think back to the exploits of Christopher Columbus in 1492. How do his accomplishments affect the world today? Assignment I want you to imagine that you are a photographer for National Geographic. Your assignment is to take between 3 and 6 photographs that represent the way that human motivation to explore and trade has influenced the world as we know it today. Each photograph should be accompanied by an explanation, showing how it relates to our central idea. The overall assignment should be no more than 2 pages long. Remember that when taking photographs it may be necessary to 1) ask permission first 2) take an adult along with you. Due Monday 25th November Homework
